Gene Blakefield is calling me out on my lack of blogging, so I dug through the graveyard and found this old t-shirt design for a game tournament. Sorry for the lack of updates. My laptop’s in the shop.
The megatalented Jared Deal invted me to be a part of this incredible show in Brooklyn. Here’s what Cartoon Brew said about the event recently…
I ended up doing an acyrlic piece which is always the most difficult for me. There’s some terrible tangents that formed and there’s some things I still feel weird about but it’s done and on its way.
Last week I also had the opportunity to participate in an art show for Family Guy in Manhattan. The original title was “Keeblerquest” but I think due to copyrights “Cookiequest” was used instead. The painting is pretty reminiscent of one my past pieces, but somehow it felt right. Traditional work is always intimidating but fun to work with. This was the biggest gouache piece I’d ever worked on.
Anyhow, enough blabbing from me. I got a pile of stuff to work on now.
I knew this blog would lose steam after a while. Sorry kids. Lots of incredible stuff happening. Been working with the good people of Wild Brain and Camp Chaos on things I can’t share yet. For now, here’s a grab from a project I’m working on that I hope to finish soon. Looking forward to hooking up with everyone in LA. S’gonna be good times.
My long time friend Anton Bogaty (www.acb3.com) informed me his new short is completed.
The man is scary talented.
I’ll let him know I’m posting this here, so let him hear it.
Sorry for the delay. I’d be better off not mentioning these things until after they happen. Anyhow, here’s another image. I know some of you guys have already seen this stuff. One day I swear… fresh content will appear!
Oh yeah and does anyone out there know how to throw together a simple DVD?
Oh on a related note… I’ll be taking off to the LA Film Festival where they’ll be showing the War Photographer video. Gonna try and see as many friends as possible while I’m back on ze Left Coast.
